We are pleased to announce that the forthcoming Gala will be hosted in partnership 

with Swim Wales. The format will be a little different but will increase the intake to 

include swimmers from a wide range of disabilities. Entry form and guidelines are 

available for download in the entry section. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Despite the weather, the WSAPLD South Regional Finals on Tuesday, June 18th were a great success.

Apart from our South Wales based competitors and also our Team from Brecon, we were pleased to welcome a Team from Carmarthenshire for the first time.

Schools and Club entries totalled over 500 and there was a huge programme of events to get through. Unfortunately, the rain did mean that some were cancelled but the majority of competitors went home with their well earned medals.

We were again grateful for the help from Team volunteers, Disability Sport Wales and for the continued support from First Choice Housing Association.

A special 'Thank you' to the brilliant PGCE and students from the Cardiff City Foundation.

Here's to Simon, Nathan, Sarah & Dave and to all who help to keep this event on the calendar.

NEW FOR 2019

As Leckwith are relaying their track 

we have had to book our Heats on a Thursday and Finals on a Tuesday.

 

​Also, due to the high volume of entries in the Male 100m and 200m in 2018, it resulted in some races not taking place.

To ensure all male runners get their chance to compete, we ask that competitors are entered in one of these distances only.

 

·       Male competitors can either compete in 100m or 200m.    

·       400m & 800m are usually less subscribed so, if able, please consider  

        these races as an alternative

·       PLEASE NOTE 60m races are for competitors who are unable to run

       any other distance. If they are entered in a 60m race they cannot

       be entered into any other races. 

·       Female competitors can enter what they are able due to low

        numbers of entry received.

WSAPLD are proud to announce that First Choice Housing Association has chosen them as their nominated charity for the 2015/16 year.

Their team will undertake a number of events throughout the year, starting with 'Survival of the Fittest' in Cardiff Bay on September 27th. This is a 10k obstacle course and we wish them all the very best.
